Pioneer Day has come and gone, and
everyone had a wonderful time. More than 600 people joined us at Pioneer Day
held at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock, where 72 volunteers worked to help
make the event an educational and enjoyable day. From the spinner to the
schoolmarm, the corn shellers to the cornhusk dolls, and the Buffalo
Soldiers to the Confederate soldier, there was something for everyone to see
and do. Throw in a Dutch oven lunch cooked over an open fire and a general
store, and the day added up fun!
The Williamson Museum thanks everyone who attended, everyone who gave their
time, and Humanities Texas for making the event a success. See you next
year!
